Oregon Bounty

Each year, Oregon celebrates the diverse food and drink produced in the state through the Oregon Bounty promotion. This year is a bit different: people are invited to submit the reason they deserve to come for an all-expenses paid Cuisinternship as a chef, rancher, or brewmaster (to name a few). To launch the Cuisinternship contest, as well as this year’s Bounty promotion, Travel Oregon approached Substance to figure out how to create an interactive experience around food and drink.

The result is the new Oregon Bounty website. Based on the idea of the Flavors of Oregon, each section is a mouth-watering resource of the tastes and smells of the state. From the microbrews that the state is known for, to the feasts from the sea, to the farmers’ markets and farm stands that dot the countryside, Oregon can be explored with any flavor in mind.

More than just an online listing of restaurants, the Oregon Bounty site allows travelers to plan their trips around the flavors they want to explore, the events that sound tempting, and the unique bounty that each region has to offer. With nearby lodging options for each event and restaurant, it’s easy to extend the stay overnight, increasing tourism dollars in the state.

From the online cookbook (using locally grown and harvested items) to the ability to explore each region’s unique flavors, the Oregon Bounty site is a foodie’s resource to travel following their palate, their thirst, their hunger, and their stomach.
