Communication Arts picks Ride Oregon…

rideoregon_commarts_wow

You can imagine our pleasant surprise when we received an email a few weeks ago from the folks at Communication Arts. They had seen the work we’d done on RideOregonRide.com and wanted to feature it as their Webpick of the Week. And who are we to say “no” to that?

Ride Oregon Ride as Communication Arts Webpick of the Week

A huge thanks to CommArts for recognizing our work. We’re always flattered when our peers let us know they appreciate what we’re doing. We feel that when we’re able to combine our passion for what we do (creating interactive experiences) with what we love do to in our everyday lives (cycling)… that’s when magic like Ride Oregon Ride happens.

Not to ring our own cowbell, but hey, we’re proud of the recognition Ride Oregon has garnered across the internet, from design sites to the WordPress showcase to CSS galleries.
WordPress.org Showcase
CSS Remix
Site Inspire
Unmatched Style
Best Web Gallery
Adverblog

PatternTap
Surfstation
Line 25
(to name a few…)

But ultimately, a site is judged by the people who use it to get the information they need through an awesome user experience that blends brand, design, interactivity and functionality. This isn’t achieved by just making a “nice looking website.” A site should be evaluated for the gestalt of concept, design, code and execution. Style is merely one part of the overall substance.

Thanks again Communication Arts, and everyone else, for reinforcing our mission of doing better and creating great interactive experiences. We appreciate the recognition and support, from both the awards competitions and the people who visit the sites we’ve built on a daily basis.
