Logobama, Week 20

We’re out of the teens and in to the terrible twenties for Logobama.com. This week we received an email from someone asking why we were approving “very offensive, anti-Obama logos with racist and terrorist overtones.” Great question.

One thing we discussed when creating the Logobama.com site was what we would approve and what we would delete. We delete Logobamas that contain nudity, profanity, and extreme hate and/or racist images. But we feel it’s important not to censor every anti-Obama logo created… that wouldn’t be in the spirit of the First Amendment or the concept of creating an online application that allows people to create whatever they want. Plus, we think Obama would want people to express their opinions, whatever they are.

Yes, some of the images aren’t pro-Obama, but we think that’s the point… let’s see what people will do with the Logobama.com site. Obama’s campaign is all about empowering people. Sometimes we don’t like what they have to say, but that’s their choice to say it.

And now, the weekly stats.
