Substance Visual Search

Since May 2007 (when we launched this site), every story we publish in the Thinking section has an image or graphic that goes on our home page. We thought, “would it be interesting to navigate the Substance archives by these images?” Worth giving it a shot:

It’s a way to browse our archives through the images that tell the visual story… a visual search. (I’m not sure how they’re ordered exactly, but should that matter in a visual search?)

We’re curious what you think about it… interesting? You’d never use it? Don’t care? Think it’s awesome? All of the above?

At the very least, it gives you an overview of the Substance Year+ in Images. Pretty.

And as a reminder for Friday, June 6: Substance Rolling Coffee to Voodoo Too. Rain or shine. More information here: http://findsubstance.com/2008/06/02/coffee-voodoo-and-bikes-this-friday/

Pretty cool… especially looking at it through PicLens. I think it was that first time I’ve used PicLens and found it somewhat useful.

I find myself being drawn to Shaun’s bald head in the lower left corner…clicky, clicky, Shaun’s head…clicky, clicky.
