Substantial Coffee Leftovers

Thanks to everyone who joined us for the first Substantial Coffee morning on December 14th. We met some interesting new people and caught up with some old friends, enjoyed some Stumptown coffee, ate bagels from Kettleman’s, and had juice and cookies (above). But of course I didn’t bust out the camera until afterwards…

This is where we were all sitting just moments before this photo was taken:

And this is the counter where the coffee was brewing and the bagels were sliced:

What did we discuss? Lots of stuff… the construction outside our windows, the Furminator, Silverlight vs. Flash, the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, the challenges of making a feature film in Portland, kids on skateboards, an appreciation for art… and that was just in the first hour.

We’ll hopefully be doing this again in January, so if you weren’t able to make it this time, maybe we’ll see you then. And if you came out this time, of course you’re welcome back for more.

    Ah ha, found it. ENTJ.

Off to buy a furminator now… WOAH. That looks much more useful than Silverlight. (This week, anyway).
