bambu Believes in Substance

Substance is pleased to announce our partnership with bambu, an innovative and design-driven company committed to renewable materials and sustainable ideas. Based in Shanghai, China, bambu designs, creates and sells premium contemporary products for the kitchen and home, made from renewable materials.

They’re the kind of company that believes in what they do, and in doing well by doing good,” said Stephen Landau, Substance’s creative director and co-founder. “We get to help build their digital brand and share their story… it’s a wonderful opportunity.” Substance’s first responsibility is to create a new web site for bambu that starts the discussion with their customers about their products and their business practices.

Originally from Portland, Oregon, bambu’s founders Rachel Speth and Jeff Delkin have taken their Pacific Northwest sensibilities and created a company that is as distinguished in its business practices as it is in its products. They are as committed to looking after the social well-being of their suppliers and workers as they are to creating safe products made from 100% renewable resources.
