The Substance Open House.

open_house_01.jpg

Thursday, June 28th was the fabled Substance Open House. After being in our space for about 3 months, we figured now was as good a time as any to invite over family, friends, colleagues and clients to have a drink, eat some food, and enjoy each others’ company. We wanted everyone to be prepared with some basic information about the open house…

Our local New Seasons provided us with some delicious food.

At 4:15pm we were standing around drinking beers, waiting to see who the Trail Blazers pick for the NBA draft…

Then, people showed up. My daughter said I should retitle this post as, “The Substance Open House Was Fun for Adults,” but it looks like she enjoyed the chocolate caramels…

So it must have been a little fun for kids…

It was fun for adults as well…

Thanks to everyone who came by to share in our celebration. We wouldn’t be where we are now without all of your support and encouragement. Special thanks go to James for bringing us the bottle of vodka, our friends at Cinco for providing some new artwork for our walls, and Tory and FUSE for sharing their space that allows us to have an open house in the first place.

To everyone who couldn’t make it, we missed you. There’s still plenty of beer in the fridge, so stop by sometime for a chat. (But all the chocolate is gone.)

Looks like you guys had a fun open house. Great stuff. Thanks for sharing the photos. And just in case you wondered when you took those three photos, the answer is yes. I read the words in those three photos. Nicely written.

A while back I wrote down some core values (which I just re-read again). Now after looking at yours, may be it is time for me to make mine more fun . (smile)

    Best Regards,
    Kempton
