While the line was kind of long at the counter, I think everyone finally got their caffeine hit. Plus I remembered my camera…

From left… Elizabeth and David (my business partner at Substance)…

…David (again) and Jessie…
Conversation ranged from what a “long table” agency is and all the different kinds of long tables: long and straight, doughnut, inverted doughnut, cafeteria… but it all came down to creating an environment where people want to share ideas. Long table, short table, round table, parallelogram table… doesn’t matter. What does matter is who is sitting at the table, and how they’re communicating. Which is exactly what we were doing at coffee. So back to that… we also discussed what good is Adobe Flex, why Old Town smells kind of like urine on Mondays, and different ideas for marketing strategies. Plus, everyone helped me figure out the Substance office layout, so thanks to everyone for their input.
I also received an email from someone asking what we usually talk about at coffee. It’s dependent on what people want to talk about… that’s really it. So it’s whatever you want it to be. See you on Friday.

I’d love to hear more about the Adobe Flex conversation!
