Unfortunately, no photos from our coffee gathering this morning… my wife had the camera to take pictures of my older daughter’s theatrical debut for the Kindergarten Round-Up. No offense to the coffee group, but pics of my daughter on stage are a bit more valuable to me.
Today’s gathering followed the two-conversation trend from last time. There was the Early Group, the people who had places to be by 9:15-ish, and the Delinquent Group… those of us who had a bit more time to enjoy some beverages.
The Early Group included Dan from the Trailblazers, Geoffrey from Euro, and Jason, Shaun and Jessie from opus. We talked more about the iPhone, ringtones, and how Google searches can bring people to your website that you had no intention of attracting. I’d repeat some of the search terms people use to arrive at this blog, which have nothing to do with the blog, but that would just be self-perpetuating and we’d end up with more people here who might not be interested (then again, maybe they would…).
The Delinquent Group, including Shannon, DLR (that’s shorthand for David Lowe-Rogstad, my business partner, but now that I’ve written this out it’s not really shorthand), and I talked about customer service. David followed up with this great post about why the customer isn’t always right. We talked about some other stuff, and I apologize for not getting the whole conversation, but I wasn’t feeling very well, and my coffee had run out. Apparently we did talk about other things, which Shannon captured on her blog. Good thing there’s someone taking notes.
Next time I’ll make sure I’m feeling 100%, alert, and ready to take photos. On a slight tangent, we discussed the every-other-week thing vs. every week. One idea was to have coffee every other Friday, and on the alternate Friday have Beer Afternoons. Same idea, different time and beverage. Gives you late-risers and non-coffee drinkers an opportunity to shine. We’ll think more about that for this week. Let us know your opinion in the comments.
I’d conclude with the obligatory photos of my daughter on stage, but I can’t find the camera. Stay tuned for that story…

Looks like a good turnout! Sam, Cody, and I are looking forward to getting back up there soon.
